Fire Sentry Corporation Optical Flame
Detection & Digital Video Smoke Detection
Fire Sentry Corporation electro-optic digital fire detectors are
highly sophisticated devices that sense the optical radiant energy
emitted by fires. The on-board microprocessor employs complex Digital
Signal Processing (DSP) to accurately tell the difference between
radiant energy of a real fire and a false source. The decision making
process involves thousands of calculations to insure reliable detection
without false alarms.
Digital Video Smoke Detection (DVSD), from Fire Sentry Corporation,
is based on sophisticated analysis of video images received from
multiple CCTV cameras, allowing the system to actually "see"
smoke from an incipient fire. This provides early fire detection
with visual verification. With up to 80 detection zones, DVSD offers
large area monitoring with unparalleled features.
