The Detection & Measurement Systems, Inc. SCCA Spec Miata is a Mazda Miata that is specially modified for competition in the highly competitive "Spec Miata" class in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) road racing and the "Wheels America Spec Miata Road Racing Series". These races are wheel to wheel battles held on twisty, challenging road racing circuits, and the strict rules regulating the allowed modifications to the Spec Miata racecars makes for extremely competitive racing. With typically 35+ Spec Miatas diving into Turn1 at the start, the action can get interesting in a hurry.
